This is gonna be short and simple the Oakland A’s have dropped 6 in a row and the cubs easily defeated them 10-1 and 4-0 already. Don’t overthink it and fade the A’s.
TEX Rangers ML @20/21 vs KC Royals
Rangers best pitcher is on the mound. Jacob De… nope Martin Perez. Martin’s career took a major upswing last year after joining the team where he had a career year with a 2.83ERA. He’s continued the trend this year, going 3 times and giving up 1/2/2. We kid here, as DeGrom is obviously the better pitcher. But Perez has continued a great 2022 and seems poised for another solid year.
Gone are the days of Joey Gallo save my team for the Rangers. The Rangers are a damn good team and playing up to it as first place in their division. Their team hitting sits middle of the pack in most statistics but has led to a 3rd best runs/game. They have the 4th best average for runners left in scoring position per game. They get guys on and get them in.
Brady Singer. This guy has had 1 very good start and followed it up with 2 laughably bad performances. He gave up 5 and then 8 ER. His xERA sits at 9.81. For ALL pitchers this year, he has the worst xSLG, xWOBA, xISO, xwOBACON, exit velocity and barrel%. He’s just been fuckin terrible flat out.
Royals offense is weird. 2nd worst batting average, slugging; wOBA, and the worst OBP. But their exit velocity is 4th in baseball, 3rd for hard hit %, 10th for barrel %. Their BABIP is .270 which isn’t horrible. Right now the offense is fuckin dead.
Rays vs Reds -1.5 @5/7
The Rays are coming off a big 10-0 win against Reds. In the final games of each series, the Rays have covered the -1.5 100% of the time. That’s all we got. Keeping it short and sweet.
Twins -1.5 @5/4 vs Red Sox
The Twins are playing good baseball to start the year with a record of 10-7. The Red Sox on the other hand have been average (9-9 record).
The Red Sox will be starting Corey Kluber who is a shell of what he used to be. Kluber is on his 5th team in the last 5 seasons. He has an 0-3 record in three starts this year, letting up 10 runs in just 13 innings. The Red Sox have also been cautious about his pitch count, he has yet to throw more than 80 pitches in a game.
The Twins starter is Joe Ryan who won 13 games with a 3.55 ERA last season. He has started this year with 3 straight winning decisions backed by his 2.84 ERA.
