Portland Trailblazers vs San Antonio Spurs ML @5/9
The Trailblazers are currently 5th last, up a half game on Indiana and Washington and 1 on Orlando, so if things go sideways (from a tanking point of view) they easily could slip to as high as 8th in lotto balls and their chances of landing in the top 4 could drop significantly.
The Spurs on the other hand are locked in either 2nd or 3rd last and both positions have the same percentage to win the lottery or end up in the top 4. Essentially it makes no difference either way. They will be resting guys of course but we think they will have enough to beat the team Portland puts out there and hey nothing wrong with a late season home win for the fans.
Nuggets vs Suns -12.0 @10/11
Nuggets got killed last night by the Rockets 124-103 in HOU. They then travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns tonight. Nuggets have clinched the #1 seed in the West.
Suns killed the Spurs 115-94 in PHX Tuesday and are on a 6 game winning streak (Red Hot). The Suns are 2.5 games ahead of GS and LAC. If they win tonight they will clinch 4th place and home court in the 1st round. Suns just beat the Nuggets last week 100-93.
Nuggets have already clinched a top seed and might rest some key players to avoid injuries and prepare to make a post szn run. Give us the Suns -12 at home. This line will start to move throughout the day if the nuggets start to announce key players are resting tonight!
