Leafs vs Sabres O6.5
The Buffalo Sabres will be visiting the Toronto Maple Leafs for their 3rd game of the season with the first game going 5-2 Leafs and the second going 6-3 Leafs. We was torn on this one because we really like the Leafs to win in regulation but am going to stick with the alternative over.
The line is set at O/U 7, so were going down to 6.5 for this one, we are just not fan’s of when the O/U is at 7. Our gut was telling us this game would include a lot of goals, especially with how the Leafs offense has been playing recently (3.7 goals per game in their last 10) and with how the Sabres defense has been playing (allowing 4.3 goals per game in their last 10) were projecting around 7 goals for this game. We also like this pick because the Leafs will have their back up goalie in net, Murray, who is a decent back up with 0.905 SV% and allowing 2.86 goals per game, but is not playing as well as the primary goaltender for the Leaf, Samsonov. The Sabres don’t have a quality goalie in their roster and we should expect Luukkonen in net tonight, he has allowed 3.51 goals per game and has a 0.895 SV%.
Kraken ML @21/20 vs Stars
Second game of a 2 game set against Dallas. The stars won the opener In overtime. Oettinger has started 8 of the last 9 games for Dallas. He has been playing a metric ton of games this year. Someone in stars management obviously didn’t get the stats memo on load management with goalies. They crash and burn in the playoffs. Though he is listed as expected presently, we fully expect Murray or Wedgewood to get the start here as they play tomorrow against the Canucks. Even if he does play, he has to be feeling pretty crispy by now and a poor start would not surprise me.
Canadiens ML @43/40 vs Avalanche
Colorado has won just 1 of their last 5 in regulation, that being against San Jose. The habs have lost 6 straight but have to break it at some point. Odds play.
