Boston Bruins ML @5/7 vs Edmonton Oilers
The Boston Bruins will be visiting the Edmonton Oilers for their first match against each other since 2021. We are getting -135 for the best team in the NHL here. What puzzles me is that the Oilers have played poorly on home ice this season going 14-11-5 so we expected this line to come in closer to -150 or -160 for the Bruins. The Bruins have played well on the road this season going 21-6-2. The Bruins have a well balanced team this year with the 2nd highest scoring offense, are ranked 1st in goals against, and also ranked 1st for killing penalties. The Oilers have been inconsistent, especially lately going 4-2-4 in their last 10. Edmonton is ranked 1st in goals scored so they can score but they also let big leads go to waste often. Edmonton is not good in defense (20th in goals against) and they don’t have a quality goaltender (Campbell – 0.884SV% & 3.48GAA and Skinner 0.912 & 2.90 GAA) so we see the Bruins finding the back of the net often in this one. We think the Bruins TT O3.5 @ -110 is a juicy alternate line for this game because of the Oilers defense and goaltending issues. The Bruins defensive unit and goaltending are the best in the NHL and were looking for them to limit the Oilers just enough to get the W in this one.
Chicago Blackhawks vs. Anaheim Ducks – Over 5.5 @5/6
The Ducks are good for a few goals each game no matter who they’re playing. Hawks and Ducks are respectively 7-3 and 6-4 in overs in their last 10.
Let’s finish off our Monday with a twine fest in Anaheim. we like O6, but iffy on 6.5 if it gets there considering the last two times these teams met it was a 3-2 final. That being said, we are gonna hedge this one with a final score exact bet of 3-2 both ways.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Colorado Avalanche ML @5/7
The Avs are playing some fantastic hockey as of late, beating the hell out of a lot of pretty good teams. Vegas has also been playing great lately, too. We feel like the talent on Colorado is just on another level compared to Vegas. We just do not see them having an answer for MacKinnon and Rantanen. And Makar might be back tomorrow night as well. Both played yesterday, so they’ll both be on a days rest. Avs have been rolling. Vegas has been in a lot of close games lately. Give me the Avs on home ice all day.
