The NHL action comes thick and fast throughout the regular season with each team playing 82 games, totalling 1,271 total regular-season games. We at Degen bring the best picks from the almost daily action.

Our Picks: –

LA Kings vs New York Islanders – Over 5.5 @5/6

Well, the Kings don’t have great goalie options and tend to be in higher scoring games. The Kings have gone O5.5 in 8 of their last 10 games. The Islanders have gone O5.5 in 5 of their last 10 games. The Kings could either start Copley, who started last night against the Devils, or they could start Quick. If Quick gets the start, this line will move. Even if Quick doesn’t get the start, this line could move.

Let’s look at the goalies stats for the Kings, we have Quick with 3.49 GAA and 0.878SV% (awful), or Copley with 2.67 GAA and 0.904 SV% (decent but not great). On the other end of the ice we’ve got Sorokin and he is a power house and is likely a driving factor behind the line being at O/U 5.5. The Kings do have the ability to put up offense though, averaging 3.31 goals per game this season and since the all star break they are averaging 4.67 goals per game (this is 6 games with a few weak opponents in the mix).

Panthers ML @25/48 vs sabres

Panthers have beat the sabres in there last 6 match-ups. Panthers are at home where they play their best, also Panthers are well rested while the Sabres are on a b2b, going overtime to upset Lightning. Panthers are notorious for slaying the sabres at home..as they have only lost to them once in 2019 & 2015 (at home) in the last 8 years. Puck line is risky as Sabres usually keep it competitive.

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 @13/10 vs MIN Wild

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be hosting the Minnesota Wild for their 2nd and final game of the season against each other. We really loved how the Leafs looked in their last game! The Leafs have been amazing at home this season and the Wild have not been the greatest on the road. The Leafs lines match up incredibly well against them here and they should have the upper hand by quite a bit.

Philadelphia Flyers vs Montreal Canadiens – Under 6.5 total @5/6

Both teams have struggled to score this year. Montembeault has looked solid for the Canadiens this year. Carter Hart didn’t look great in his past three road starts against three good offenses in the Canucks, Oilers and Kraken but previously he was playing exceptionally. Hoping he bounces back at home. Although these two teams had a 5-4 game in their previous meeting in November, we think it will be a slower paced game.

Colorado Avalanche vs Winnipeg Jets – Over 5.5 total @5/6

5.5 seems a little low for these two teams. Avs are still missing Makar which is a big blow to their puck movement, but they were still able to generate goals on his last injury stint. Hellebuyck has been playing really well lately, but 4 starts in 6 days is a tall task for any goalie especially off a road trip. Jets have had some success against Georgiev this year, scoring 3 and 5 goals in their previous meetings this year.

Hurricanes ML @5/13 vs Senators

The Ottawa Senators have put together a couple of nice weeks, but they’re still hard to trust on the road, especially against quality teams. The Carolina Hurricanes have been a buzz saw at home dating back to last year, and they’re just not losing to bad or subpar teams. Give me the Canes and the ML for great betting value.
