More so related to the Islanders than the Penguins. Islanders have been quite bad lately and very bad off two days rest. it’s really been the defense that is struggling though. They are shooting (48 shots last game) and scoring (3.4 gpg this month as opposed to 2.8 on the season) way more than they usually do.
Sorokin is great and could come locked in but the defense is making it impossible for him to be his usual dominant self This also being a huge game for both teams playoff standings wise. We think we see an offensive slugfest in this one.
Rangers ML @1/1 vs Oilers
Campbell & Skinner have allowed 13 goals in their last 3 games for the Oilers, who lost 2 of their last 3 (very) winnable games against the sens, canadiens & red wings. The rangers have won 6 straight & put up 31 goals in those 6 games.
Kings -1.5 @20/21 vs Ducks
Copley has allowed 2 goals in two games since the all-star break & the ducks have lost their last 3 games while giving up 20 goals in the process. We think this is a prime spot to continue to ride the Anaheim fade train
Stars ML @20/23 vs Wild
Dallas has better goaltending & Minnesota lost both of their last two games at home. If you’re giving us a coin flip between Dallas & Minnesota we’ll take the Stars all day long. We also really like the under here.
Chicago Blackhawks ML @23/10 vs Senators
The Hawks are the worst or 2nd worst team in the NHL depending on day. However, they OWN the Senators. Hawks have won the last 8 straight! The last two contests are the relevant ones and O5.5 hit in both of those as well. We are quite confident that the ML will hit here.
