Oklahoma City Thunder @11/10 vs Miami Heat
With both teams results being inconsistent were taking the Thunder here as they a much more healthy team right now with Heat’s injury woes worsening adding Lowry to the list, Herro being listed as questionable for tonight’s game with a bad slip on the Nets match. And with SGA keeps putting a MVP calibre performance these past few games getting OKC at plus odds here is a good gamble.
LA Clippers vs Dallas Mavericks ML @5/6
Luka missed the 2nd game of a B2B on Sunday and he is questionable for today’s game against the Clippers. We took the ML as soon as it opened, hoping he was going to be cleared later and he’s not actually injured but only rested. If Luka plays, we expect him to wreck through the Clippers as usual. For those who don’t know, when he first made the Playoffs in his 2nd NBA season, he averaged 31 PPG including 2×40 point games in a 2-4 first round exit against the Clippers. The next season, they play the Clippers, who would end up going to the WCF, again and he averages 35.7/7.9/10.3, gets a triple double and 3 40+ point games in an epic 7 games first round series which they lose again.
In his 13 regular season games, he averages 31.7 PPG (+4.4 from his career averages) against the Clippers. Since the last of the 2 playoff series defeats, the Mavs are 4-2 against the Clippers in the past 18 months. Also, the Clippers are in the middle of a 6 game losing streak. At Indiana, Boston and Denver are excusable losses. They lost at Minnesota with George and Leonard both out. But they also lost at home to Miami with George playing and most recently at home against Atlanta on Sunday with Leonard playing.
Cleveland Cavaliers ML @5/7 vs Utah Jazz
We really think Cavaliers are a strong team. They have a good starting lineup led by D.Mitchell as well as a good depth to the bench led by K.Love. Their first match up of the season, D.Mitchell was flying against his former team. We would say he would do the same in this game. L.Markkanen from Jazz is having a great season. However, the other starting members in the team are not showing consistent performances to help him out. Jazz is also missing their starting centre K.Olynyk and a couple of useful bench members THT and C.Sexton are out for tomorrow’s game.
Charlotte Hornets vs Toronto Raptors – Over 229.0 @10/11
The Hornets run one of the highest paces in the league, shoot the worst percentage in the league, and are bottom five in defensive rating. It’s no surprise that this team is 11-30, and yes they’ve been without felon in Miles Bridges and Lamelo has been out for extended periods, but this team is showing no signs of growth on the defensive side of the ball, and run up and down like an energizer bunny.
Toronto is the opposite. It’s no secret that their offense has struggled lately given we’ve been on their team total over for a week now, but they finally hit one last night against Portland. Portland and Charlotte historically have many similarities in that their high paced, don’t play defense and turn the ball over often.
