Thursday Night Football!
Touchdown
Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers, 1.15am GMT
Our Picks:
Steelers +4.0 @10/11 vs. Browns
Over 38 point @10/11
The Steelers’ game does not shine when it comes to offensive play, but they are above average when it comes to their defence, even without Watt. We don’t want to mention the Browns’ defeat against the Jets, who lost a game that no one should by allowing the Jets to score 14 points in the last 80 seconds of the game. The Browns have found much more success on offense so far – ranking 9th in yards and 7th in points.
The Steelers have so far had problems in the passing downfield ranking at the honourable end, but when will there be a better opportunity to change that and use Pickens and Claypool properly, if not against the Browns, who are 25th in passing yards allowed per game. What’s more, the Browns will likely perform without Garrett and certainly without Clowney, which will make even bigger holes in their lineup.
We like put the defensive above the offensive, especially this early on in the season, when the underdogs make up the vast majority of games, as could be seen so far especially in week 2. We like the spread up to +3.5, everything under that number is a skip for us.
H2H trends:
The Steelers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against Cleveland. The Steelers are 15-4-1 SU in their last 20 games against Cleveland. The Browns are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games. The Browns are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games.
