BALE AGREES TO JOIN LAFC

It is being reported by that Gareth Bale has agreed to join LAFC on a year-long deal. Bale, who left Real Madrid as a free agent this summer, has signed for the West Coast side, and his deal has an option to extend for a further 18 months. The Welshman was keen to secure regular playing time as he gets ready to lead his country at the 2022 World Cup later this year. It seems Bale has opted to move to the U.S rather then joining home town club Cardiff, as was earlier reported.

AC MILAN IN TALKS FOR ZIYECH

Italian champions AC Milan are in talks to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea.

The winger moved to west London from Ajax in a £33m deal two years ago but has failed to transfer his impressive form with the Dutch champions. Ziyech could become the third Chelsea player in the last 12 months to join AC Milan with Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori making the switch to the Italian giants last summer.

FOREST ANNOUNCE AWONIYI

Nottingham Forest have signed Nigeria forward Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin for a fee of £17.5m, which is a club record.

The 24-year-old joins Forest from the Bundesliga club on a five-year deal and becomes the newly-promoted Premier League side’s first international signing of the summer.

COULD LIVERPOOL BE SET TO LOSE SALAH THIS SUMMER TOO?

It is being reported by The Sun (take it as you will)  that Liverpool are considering letting Mohamed Salah follow Sadio Mane out of the door this summer.

The Egyptian has been sensational for the Reds since signing, and won the Premier League Golden Boot yet again last term. Would this be a huge blow or have they a replacement in mind?

SHOULD CITY SELL STERLING TO CHELSEA?

As one England player (Kalvin Phillips) prepares to join Manchester City, rumours persist that another, Raheem Sterling, could be on his way out of the Etihad.

Chelsea are the team linked above all others with the 27-year-old – but would he be a smart buy by the Blues, especially with it looking likely Jesus will join Arsenal? Feeding the rivals comes to mind.

ARSENAL SET TO UP RAPHINHA BID

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are expected to make an improved bid for Leeds forward Raphinha. The Gunners’ opening bid for Raphinha was rejected as it fell below Leeds’ valuation of the Brazil international.

Leeds are under no pressure to sell Raphinha, 25, as he has two years left on his contract – although he is not expected to sign a new deal at Elland Road.
