Detroit has one of the best NRFI records. Tuesday game was YRFI in a 3-1 game. With Webb on the mound for San Francisco trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. We think he gets through the first unscathed. Detroit is starting Manning 0-1, 2.81 era., and he pitched well in his last outing vs the angels. We believe he can get through inning 1 without anyone crossing home plate.
Giants vs Tigers – First 5 U 4.5 -135
The reason we really like this play today is because of the pitching matchup, Logan Webb vs. Matt Manning. Webb is a young stud (25 yo), he’s 11-6 with a 3.08 ERA, while Manning is even younger (24) and has been one of the most underrated pitchers since he came back from injury earlier this month. Part of that may be the fact that he plays for the Tigers, another part could be that he’s made just 6 starts this year, but it’s hard to ignore what he’s done. He’s got a 2.81 ERA including an unreal 0.90 ERA at home.
