Both players have been outstanding all tournament and totally deserved to be in this final and we’ll be happy if either Rybakina or Jabeur wins even if we are leaning a bit towards the rank 2 in the world from Tunisia
Rybakina is one of the best servers on tour and can hit really strong from both sides which makes her quite a threat. We saw against Halep that even with the Romanian having an off day Rybakina only gave a single break point to one of the best returners in the game which was quite impressive. Matchup wise it made sense for me to go with Halep to win in straight sets but we wasn’t mad at all with the outcome because we had to just accepted that our player was having a really bad day and the other was probably having the best performance of her entire season. The Kazakh managed to get to the final even with a really difficult draw, beating three Grass specialists at this tournament and when she’s generating those powerful groundstrokes and not getting many unforced errors it’s really hard to beat her on the fastest surface available.
Jabeur’s playstyle is quite unique. She is capable of producing some amazing dropshots, slices and all kinds of crazy shots which most WTA players are not able to reproduce and also not able to deal with…The Tunisian player has won every single Grass match this season having a 11 match winning streak and she’s the favourite to win Wimbledon not only due to her ranking but also because she can adapt her game plan if something is not working for her at first but against Rybakina she should stick to her best qualities. She had an easier path to this final and she dropped a set against Maria and Bouzkova but those were two players that are way different than her finals opponent.
