Our Picks:
Magic +3.0 @20/21 vs Warriors
This Magic team is 19-13 so far this season, sitting in the 4th seed (basically tied with Miami), and their success is in no way shape or form a fluke. The Magic have dealt with many key injuries all season, and still been able to beat bad teams, and play competitive with the top teams, and defened the hell out of the ball. They are playing on the road, however they basically have the same home road splits on defense. Tonight’s matchup, is a tough one traveling to GSW after losing a tough one to the Suns on NYE.
The warriors on the other hand, have lost 3 straight, all to top teams, however those teams were playing without key players in most of those games.
Thunder +4.0 @10/11 vs Celtics
This is mainly a fade of Boston on the road against good teams. The Celtics are 6-8-2 ATS on the road and Thunder are 13-5-0 ATS at home. IR is clean ATM so we don’t expect this line to move but think this should be 50/50 outright so we’ll take the better ATS team with the points.
76ers vs Bulls ML @15/4
The Philadelphia 76ers should be out to get revenge after just losing to the Bulls, and it’s already reported that Joel Embiid is probable. The 76ers should be favored. However, this line is steep when you consider the Bulls are winning and covering games all of a sudden. The Bulls have won 5 of their last 7 games, and they’ve covered 7 of their last 10 games. Oh, the Bulls have also won 4 of the last 5 meetings against the 76ers. Double-digit chalk? A bit disrespectful in our eyes. Give us the Bulls.
Pelicans vs Nets – Over 228.5 @10/11
The New Orleans Pelicans are the better team and should be favored at home, but this line feels like an overreaction. The Pels still struggle with consistency and despite wins here and there they’ve still failed to cover 4 of their last 6 games. The Pelicans just aren’t a team were excited to lay big numbers with, and we was high on them before the season started. We think the over is the safest call here.
