Our Picks:
Indiana Pacers -7 @10/11 vs Detroit Pistons
Were going with Pacers fresh out of a tumultuous loss to Detroit sliding into historical losing territory. In Detroit’s last 10 games, the have lost by less than 7 in only 2 games, of which one had Jokic and Malone ejected in the first half quickly, where Denver still won despite no Murray either.
Rockets -8.0 @10/11 vs Spurs
The Rockets have been the best home team against the spread in the league with a 8-1-1 record, 9-1 overall. We’ll ride that trend, especially against a Spurs team that has lost 16 games in a row.
Kings -4.5 @10/11 vs Brooklyn Nets
It’s tough going on long win streaks in the NBA. The nets are on a 3 win streak. Out of 30 teams in the NBA only 2 (Minnesota + Chicago) currently have won streaks over 3 wins. Now they are traveling cross country to face the Kings at home.
Kings are (6-3) at home Nets are (4-4) away
Kings are 12-8 on the season Nets are 12-9 on the season
While the two teams have similar records we believe the Kings are a bit underrated and are better than their 12-8 record suggests. The King’s best player De’aron Fox missed 5 games early in the year and 3 of the Kings losses are against the same team (Pelicans).
Bulls +11.0 @10/11 vs Bucks
Bulls have been on a roll, plus the Bulls beat the bucks the last time they met, without Derozan and Lavine. Earlier in the season, they covered the +9.5 spread against the Bucks. Even though Lavine has been out, the Bulls are on a 4 game winning streak. At +11, we will take that.
Other Picks:
Thunder -12.5 @10/11 vs Jazz
(8-4 ATS as favorites, 3-2 as away favorites. No Lauri still and no Kessler means the Jazz are in for a long night)
Magic -2.5 @10/11 vs Cavaliers
(9-2 ATS home team, 5-1 as home favorites. Magic are just playing phenomenal basketball lately and even without Suggs I think they beat the Cavs by a bucket)
Mavericks -2.5 @10/11 vs Grizzlies
(6-1 ATS as away team favorites, MEM 3-7 ATS as home team and 2-4 ATS as home underdogs)
