This prop is for a big game 7. Smart has hit this 10 out of 14 games this playoffs, 3 out of 4 this series, the one time he didn’t was his first game back from an injury and was in foul trouble so only played 23 minutes. He played 40 minutes Friday night so that gives me confidence that the court time will be there as long as he doesn’t get in foul trouble.
On the rebounding side, he has been trending up in rebounds the past 7 games. He has had 4 or higher in those games, including 9 and 7. If Miami regresses back to their series averages shooting-wise, there should be a lot of rebounding opportunities for the taking. If he can reach that 4 rebound floor, it should be enough, but if he goes higher, would really up the chances of this hitting.
On the points side, he is averaging 14.9 per game in the playoffs, if he can put that up, we should be golden. He has shot like shit the past 2 games, but what is important to me is the volume, which is there, he took 14 shots last game despite his struggles and still got to 14 points. In big games and moments in the past, Marcus seems to think he is Michael Jordan and has irrational confidence, so I’m not worried about him fading into the background, he should get his shots.
