This is more a bet on Ange Postecoglu’s type of football than anything. We watched his Celtic team for years. This is a man who craves attacking football above all else, which leads to goals in just about every match he’s involved in. Spurs matches this season have been no different since he took over. Arsenal played in Europe on Wednesday and there is always a bit of tiredness kicking in, which hopefully improves the chances on putting a one past them. Ange himself said it in a pre-match press conference: “If you want to be a team that challenges, you have to play that attacking way, irrespective of the opponent.”
On the other side of the bet, Arsenal have been solid this season. They’ve also scored in every league match this season and offer plenty attacking threat, scoring 4 goals in their aforementioned European match days ago. At home they’ve managed 7 goals in 3 Premier League matches and will look to take advantage of Spurs pressing forward, While Ange’s teams are always great at attacking, they usually concede a fair few. We expect that to continue.
