Major League Baseball Tips

Home Run

Were well in to the 2023 Baseball season and we only try to pick our most confident matches at this stage.

Major League Baseball matches come almost daily so check back for our best predictions.

Today’s Top Picks:

Guardians ML @20/27

Rich Hill getting pounded every game and walking 2+ in 12/13. Civale is on a roll and the Pirates are reeling hard as the worst team in baseball currently. Expect the Guardians to extend on their aggregate lead of 21-1.

Red Sox -1.5 @4/5

Bello with under a 3 ERA over his last 13 starts, continuing to efficiently get groundballs and is up against an A’s offense that struggles to get clean contact. Waldichuk has 6.66 ERA, wont go deeper than 4 innings and gets blown up when extended. Walks kill him, and their bullpen is horrific. Sox got skunked, and will come back to finish series strong with or without Rafy.

Phillies -1.5 @23/20

Brewers bottom 5 vs LHP, Sanchez is a groundballs pitcher too as is much of the Brewers offense. Expect Sanchez to go deeper than usual Rea is average and throws 75%+ fastballs, which Shwarber & co mash. Phillies need 4 to cover the spread.

Blue Jays ML @20/23

Toronto is top 5 against RHP CB, Darvish’s primary pitch, and are Top 5 against his entire pitch mix including recently. Darvish has had a decent last 2 outings, but struggles against lefties and getting out of jams, with a 1.38 WHIP when RISP. Berrios has been great as of late, and while the Padres offense has been much improved, they still struggle against RHP and Berrios should thrive.

Reds ML @20/21

Ashcraft broke on May 7th unil June 24th, when they tweaked his mechanics and since he’s been brilliant at less than a 1.50 ERA Ross Stripling has been horrible all year, but figured it out lately going just 3-4 innings. Giants have mashed cutters, but struggled against sliders this year from righties. Reds break the losing streak and get back on track.

Mets 1H/FG @1/1

Verlander hitting stride, Toussant is unreliable. Offenses are both hit and miss, take the MVP. Personal note: terrible analysis but its all we have.

Braves -1.5 @20/23

Arizona has grossly over performed their expected numbers against CBs and 4FB this year, 2nd highest margin this year. Their BA ranks 5th at .266, but their xBA ranks 21st at .241. If you narrow it to just since June, their BA is mediocre and their xBA is 26th Uncle Charlie is rolling and he should continue, as should the Braves offense against a poor Ryne Nelson.

Tigers F5 ML @4/6

Yarbrough is the slowest pitcher in the game and pitches to contact. He doesn’t strikeout people and he doesn’t walk people. He gets the weakest contact in baseball but struggles because there’s ALWAYS contact. Detroit’s offense gets barrel to the bat often, and are one of the fastest teams in the league top to bottom, potentially allowing them to beat out infield throws. ERod has hit a rocky patch but still sits below a 3 ERA going against the horrid Royals.

Twins F5 ML @27/20

Both pitchers have a FB/CH/SL mix but implement it differently. Castillo’s FB runs 96, while Maeda’s runs 90. Castillo also throws his 60% compared to Maeda’s 30%. Maeda’s SL and CH run around 84 and 82, and Seattle is the worst team in the league hitting them. Despite how good Castillo is, +155 feels like far too much given Seattle’s offensive ineptitude.
