Our Picks:
Pacers -7.0 @10/11 vs Knicks
Were not excited to lay this big number with the Pacers and their shaky defense, but feel like we have not much choice. The Knicks aren’t a deep team, and they’re now down Anunoby, Robinson and possibly Brunson. Remember, the Knicks have 3 players averaging at least 40 minutes in these playoffs because of their lack of depth. One of those players in Anunoby. At some point, there’s only so much a team can overcome. The Pacers also have to feel like this series should be different, as they had big leads in both game 1 and game 2, and they had questionable calls go against them in both games. The Pacers could easily be up 2-0, at the very least it probably should be 1-1. With home court and a massive advantage health wise, the Pacers should win this game by a decent margin.
Timberwolves ML @5/8 vs Nuggets
The Nuggets have a major injury cloud hanging over them with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Reggie Jackson and Jamal Murray all listed as questionable, while the Timberwolves are coming into this one with a full squad once again. The Nuggets weren’t able to get anything going in the first two games of the series and now face what is almost a must-win game against a red-hot Timberwolves team, who made it look easy on Monday. Surely, with what is at stake, we’re going to see the Nuggets coming out swinging in this one after getting embarrassed in the last meeting. The Timberwolves have proven to be a real dark horse in these playoffs, and we think they keep it going with a win and cover in front of a packed home crowd.
