Chinese GP, 21/04/24 at 8am
The Chinese Grand Prix is a round of the Formula One World Championship. The event was held every year from 2004 until 2019 and is contracted to be held until 2025. The event was contracted to take place from 2020 to 2023, but was cancelled each of those years as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic in China.
Max Verstappen was in imperious form as he took pole position for the Chinese Grand Prix, leading Sergio Perez to a Red Bull one-two.
Fresh from winning the first sprint race of the season earlier, Verstappen was 0.322 seconds clear of Perez.
The Mexican pipped Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin by 0.166secs with McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri next.
Lewis Hamilton had a dire day, qualifying 18th.
His Mercedes team-mate George Russell was eighth behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Could spice it up by adding fastest lap but we cant back against Max in his current form.
Charles Leclerc – Top 3 @8/11
Is a consistent driver who sometimes has bad luck but when he don’t he is a contender.
Lewis Hamilton – Top 6 @2/1
Drove well on Friday just losing out to Verstappen in the sprint (Wasn’t that close in the end) Then on Saturday things was not so good but surely a top 6 finish is not out the question.
