The Canucks are hungry and are taking on the Kings for the third time this month, with Canucks winning 2-1 in OT in LA and Kings winning 5-1 before that in Vancouver, it’s time for revenge for that whopping at home and the Nucks could officially clinch a playoff berth.
Regardless, it will be a game of redemption for Canucks goalie Casey De Smith who doesn’t have the greatest record against the Kings and did not play the previous matchups as starter Demko being injured. Canucks have won 3 straight, and are 6-3-0 against the pacific division at home this season while, Kings are 2-3-0 as underdogs against the pacific division on the road. However, the Kings are 5-3-0 on the road against the pacific division overall, reports are expecting David Rittich to start over Cam Talbot for the Kings. Kinda wild that the Kings are going to start their backup as well almost to taunt the Nucks, but regardless it’s Canucks depth stepping in recent games when top lines are tightly matched that has seen Canucks on the winning side. Canucks have also scored first in their past 7 seven games, with twice being in the first minute.
