Jets vs Hurricanes ML @4/6
The Canes are the best team in the league lately, taking over the Panthers in my opinion. Leading in CORSI%, xGF%, and SCF%. Clearly the Jets have a goaltending advantage, but they are worse in every area including special teams. Canes in regulation.
Red Wings vs Panthers ML @5/8
Pretty similar to the Jets/Canes game where the Panthers are just dominant. They destroy the Wings in every 5v5 stat while also having better goaltending. Both teams have similar power plays but the panthers kill is better. Florida in regulation.
Blues vs Wild ML @4/5
Another game of just betting on the better 5v5 team. The Blues still show no signs of improvement in terms of advanced stats. They are 6 points worse in CORSI and 11 points worse in xGF%. The goaltending is better, and the Wild have a really bad PK, but their power play has been so good it evens out. We like the Wild even though we normally don’t like them at minus odds.
Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets -1.5 @37/20 – Dog Pick
We was considering the ML but were pretty convinced about this one. The Blackhawks are poor and Columbus is pretty average. If Merzlikins starts were even more confident, but even Tarasov would find a way to win. The only thing the Blackhawks have going for them is their power play which has been strong recently. Should still be an easy win for Columbus.
Stars vs Sharks +1.5 @8/5
Yes, the Sharks are bad and the Stars are good, but the Stars aren’t the best and the Sharks aren’t the worse. When you’re laying 1 and a half goals, you need that to happen. The Sharks goaltending has been pretty good and Oettinger has been up and down. Like we said, the Sharks are bad but not bad enough for this line.
