Umar vs Bekzat – Fight to go the distance NO @20/47
Don’t be tempted to jump on Umar at 1/12 even as a parlay piece. Bezkat may be a UFC debutant but he also looks like a legit talent. Spars with Shavkat and has faced some credible guys. Big step down from Sandhagen, but it appears the UFC has to go outside the organization just to get someone willing to face Umar.
Schnell ML @11/4 vs Erceg – Dog Pick
Schnell is a leave it all in the octagon type and his wild comeback against Sumudaerji was legendary. He’ll fight like hell for your money and he’s faced Pantoja, Royval, Font, Johnathan Martinez etc. Erceg may be a tough matchup for Schnell, who thrives on the kind of chaos that a smart round winner won’t give him. Erceg showed those chops against Costa, adopting a more cautious approach after getting buzzed. Expect Schnell to look dangerous early.
Perez vs Mokaev ML @2/7
Alex Perez is 0-2 with ten cancellations over the last four years. That said, his wrestling makes him an intriguing matchup for Mokaev, who hasn’t always been able to impose his will against lesser wrestlers than Perez. Expect Mokaev to prevail, but Perez may have the physical edge (he really should be fighting a division up) and if the wrestling cancels he could win the striking battle.
Perrino ML @3/10 vs Pedro
Current odds on Petrino are not worth it. We think he wins, and he may make it look easy but Pedro has some talent. He’s a bit of an underachiever but he’s dangerous. If the odds keep inflating we may arb off Petrino.
Gaziev ML @10/17 vs Rozenstruik
Take Gaziev Rds 1 or 2 when odds available.
Gaziev has a major grappling edge and Rozie looks to be on the downslope. Caveat: Gaziev has a very suspect gas tank and this is a huge step up in competition. A main event in your second UFC fight is unusual. If Gaziev doesn’t finish him early (and we think he does) he could face some adversity. Later round props for Jair may be worth a look.
