Recency bias is a hell of a drug. Before the KO, Volk destroyed Yair, absolutely dismantled Holloway 5-0, and went toe-to-toe with Islam. Literally every aspect of Volk’s game is better than Ilia. Ilia looked amazing against Emmett, but so did Yair and look what happened to him. There’s levels to this.
Whittaker ML @4/9
Whittaker’s record is significantly better and Costa was not impressive against Rockhold. We think Whittaker wins easily.
Geoff Neal ML @15/8
Gun to my head, we think Garry wins and like these odds. Neal held his own pretty well against Shavkat before the finish. We think the bullying + inexperience might get to Garry’s head. Regardless this is gonna be a fun fight.
Cejudo ML @15/8
This will be a fun one, but think Cejudo is just better. Even if Merab takes him down, we don’t think he has the attributes or the skill to hold and control. Henry has the more well-rounded game, and also has the wrestling chops to match Merab. Merab will have good moments, but we think Cejudo is just better everywhere and will be able to deal with Merab’s pressure, get up from bottom when taken down, and earn respect on the 50/50 where Merab likes to shootbox.
Hernandez vs Kopylov – Fight to go the Distance NO @2/5
We honestly think Kopylov can win here but have taken the safer route.
