Our Picks:
Knicks -10.0 @10/11 vs Hornets
Yes we know Randle is out, but CHA is bad against better opponents. They had a 24-24 tie against Philly, but most other home 1Q are losses by 2 or more. Last NYK road game was at BKN for 26-28 1Q loss. BKN is a strong team at home, and Randle was just 2/7 FGs with 5 FTs in the 1Q. Were betting his replacement can perform better than that. Were not taking the -2.5 1st Q Spread but the overall result.
Heat vs Suns ML @13/10
PHX is on a B2B but technically they didn’t play the 2nd or 4th Qs yesterday, so they should be ready to go. MIA is not a bad 1Q team, but PHX is just stronger all round. This is probably a lesser confident pick.
Clippers -1.5 @10/11 vs Cavaliers
Both teams playing hot as of late and this should be a good one but we just think the Clippers are the better overall team. Mitchell is probable with a what seems to be minor groin injury sustained late last game against the bucks. Clips on a 5 game win streak and just coming off massive win in Boston. Looking to charge full steam ahead.
Celtics vs Pelicans +8.5 @10/11
The Celtics, remember how they were untouchable at home? Started 20-0? Well, guess what, they’ve just dropped two straight at the Garden. Now, they’re facing the Pelicans, this young, energetic squad that just tears up the court. The Pelicans are getting a generous nine and a half points tonight. There’s a big disparity in how the bets are laying, and it’s got my attention. Let’s be real, the Celtics haven’t been closing out games like they should. Beating fellow playoff teams by double-digits? Not happening. They’ve been showing some cracks, especially in those late-game moments when they should be locking it down. Grab those Eight and a half points and back the Pels. The Celtics might have home court, but they’re lacking that finishing punch.
Mavericks ML @20/37 vs Magic
The Dallas Mavericks have a tendency to play amazing basketball when they’re at home; tonight, that’s exactly where they happen to be. While we like the Magic lately, we think Luka Doncic and crew may be too much for Orlando to handle. Were rolling with the Mavericks on this one.
