Our Picks:
LA Clippers ML @1/1 vs. New York Knicks
This game will be close. James Harden’s debut into the Clipper’s star-studded lineup will be a close matchup. But Clippers have the capacity to defend at a high level, also scoring efficiently in key stretches for games when they have their ball movement/iso’s going for PG/Kawhi. Give us the Clippers against the Knicks. Knicks are really good, but talent-wise the Clippers are better.
Orlando Magic ML @20/21 vs Mavericks
We think the young guys on Orlando have broken out of their World Cup slump. Dallas is in a back to back and this is their third game in four days. Taking the value here with Dallas being in a tough spot.
Wizards +11.0 @10/11 vs 76ers
The wizards aren’t as bad as people think they are and the sixers aren’t as good make them out to be, we just got a feeling that wizards win on the money line but taking the spread is the safer bet.
GS Warriors vs DET Pistons – Over 223.5 @10/11
These two teams both played yesterday. Historically in similar spots, when both teams are on the second leg of a back to back, the overs are money. Riding the spot here, nothing to do with the two teams playing.
Utah Jazz vs Chicago Bulls ML @5/9
Bulls have been playing better and the Jazz a have been dismal on the road. Jazz haven’t kept a road game within 5 points but we do think this game will be close and why we chose the ML. To us these are fairly equal teams but home team prevails.
Player Prop:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks) Over 25.5 Pts @4/5
Giannis is (to state the obvious) a far more skillful big man and should have little trouble bull dozing to the basket at will. His points line is typically 27.5 but has come down to 25.5 due to misses against the Knicks and the Raptors. Both those teams have meaningful physicality that impeded Giannis (Robinson/Randle for Knicks, and Siakam/Poeltl for Raptors). Dorian Finney Smith and Ben Simmons are not exactly a dynamic defensive duo, and will have Brook Lopez to contend with it in the paint.
