The NBA Games will come thick and fast so check back daily for our predictions.

With no competitive balls thrown yet we will just go for value until we get some solid stats to go by, BOL

Our Picks:

Boston Celtics -3.0 @10/11 vs Knicks

Betting on the superteams early in the season is almost always the good bet in the NBA. And going thru the preseason results and form this Celtics team is as good as anyone’s guess and the trio of Brown, Tatum and Porzingis can cut through defenses like a swiss knife and with the addition of Jrue their defense is almost the same as last season, while their offense got a huge boost with the addition of Porzingis. While the Knicks is a good team we can’t see them keeping up with the offense the Celtics can produce so taking the Celtics here at -3.0 seems like a good bet.

Pelicans ML @10/11 vs Grizzlies

Memphis don’t have the size to run with Zion and Valuncianus Only concern is depth with the Pels but Memphis also missing 4 of their regular rotation guys and don’t forget New Orleans were a 2 seed for a good portion of last year before Zion sat.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Toronto Raptors

Scottie Barnes Over 21.5 player points @18/5

Scottie averaged 26.7 PRA last season, but the new coach has made it clear that Scottie will have a much bigger role on the team this season, and that has shown in the preseason games as well. Scottie should be scoring and assisting a lot more this season due to the coach wanting him to touch the ball more, so we expect him to average at least 32 PRA. For the home opener and believe he will make the bookies regret putting his lines so low.

Detroit Pistons +9 @10/11 vs Miami Heat

Pistons are going to be an interesting team to watch this season, lots of young talent under new head coach Monty Williams, a great coach who turned the Suns program around and was named coach of the year in 2022.

Cade Cunningham is back from his season long injury, and along with promising youngsters Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren as well as 4th round draft pick Ausar Thompson the Pistons are looking to improve their record this season. While the Heat did make the NBA finals last year, their regular season was not that amazing and they lost a couple very helpful pieces this offseason in Max Strus and Gabe Vincent. They also have quite a few veterans on their team and will want to keep them healthy to try and make another postseason run, so they may be limiting some of their better players’ floor time a bit. 9 points is a lot, and the Pistons should be able to keep it close enough to cover.

Indiana Pacers -7.0 @10/11 vs, Washington Wizards

The Wiz could struggle again, and they are kind of floundering in general with their team, we don’t see them doing well in the opener on the road. The Pacers look to have the potential for a middling type of season limping into a playoff spot, and we see them clearing this margin by a lot.

Other Picks:

Magic ML @10/17

Bulls vs Thunder – Over 227.0 @10/11

Clippers ML @4/17

Nets vs Cavaliers – Over 221.0 @10/11
