Dettori was born on December 15, 1970, in Milan, Italy. He began his professional riding career in 1986 and gained recognition for his flamboyant and successful riding style. One of his most notable achievements came in 1996 when he won all seven races on the card at Ascot Racecourse, which is often referred to as the “Magnificent Seven.”
Over the years, Frankie Dettori has won numerous prestigious races, including multiple victories in the Epsom Derby, the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, and the Breeders’ Cup. He has also represented Europe in several editions of the Ryder Cup-style horse racing event known as the Shergar Cup.
As racing fans will know this is set to bet Frankie’s last season and how better to go out, winning Sports Personality of the year, maybe we can see one final dismount.
