The Canadian Grand Prix is an annual motor racing event held since 1961. It has been part of the Formula One World Championship since 1967.

Max Verstappen from Team Red Bull is a heavy favorite to win the race – unsurprising perhaps, given that the Dutch-Belgian Formula One World Champion enters the contest after three back-to-back victories in Miami, Monaco, and Spain.

Max not only recorded the fastest lap time in Barcelona earlier this month but also finished more than 24 seconds clear of his closest competitor Lewis Hamilton. The Dutch driver’s dominance over the entirety of the sport of Formula One has led to some sportsbooks beginning to offer ‘without Verstappen’ markets – a frankly ridiculous proposition that would have been unthinkable in previous years.

Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate George Russell delivered strong performances earlier this month at Barcelona’s June 4th race. Nevertheless, few are currently willing to bet against Red Bull’s seemingly invincible superstar.

Our Betting Picks:

Max Verstappen – Win @2/5

As stated above Max is on a absolutely tremendous run and will, even on a bad day be hard to stop.

Lewis Hamilton – Podium @11/10

It was great to see the Mercedes deliver a challenge in the last grand prix and was definitely something to build on, although barring a Verstappen retirement a win is maybe just out of reach.

Carlos Sainz – Podium @2/1

The Ferrari driver has been hit and miss so far this year and will look to get back on the podium here and at plus odds well, worth a punt.

The Canadian Grand Prix is the ninth race of the 2023 Formula 1 season, and it has been held at the Circuit Giles Villeneuve in Montreal since 2002. This race consists of 70 laps, with a total distance of 305.270 km being covered. The track itself is 4.361 km long, with two DRS zones at either end of the second sector. Drivers will need to navigate eleven corners, with the most testing being the eleven in the final sector.
