We think Amanda’s plan will be a wrestling and ground and pound game plan against Irene. Which would be a good idea, but she has to watch out for Irene submissions from bottom.
Amanda did it numerous times in her career especially in her first 2 UFC fights
Amanda has to carefully pressure Irene. Irene at time struggled when pressured.
Irene needs to check Amanda’s leg kicks.
On the other hand we sense that Irene is the more motivated fighter despite being the same age. Especially seeing her teammate Alexa Grasso winning the Women’s Flyweight belt from Valentina Shevchenko.
Were still backing Nunes @3/10, if she loses we think we don’t see her again.
Alternatively:
Beneil Dariush ML (-120): We’ve been sitting on this bet for weeks now at this point we just think Charles, as great as he is, has begun his career downfall. Beneil hits like a truck in there and Charles has been dropped in basically every fight recently except this time idk if he can even get back up. price moved quite a bit but we still like it might sprinkle Beneil KO as well.
Nunes/Nldana over 2.5 (-125): this is a headscratcher line for me we have no idea how this is a 2.5 line. she beat the absolute shit out of Peña in the last fight and it still went to decision as well as three of her last five hitting the scorecards. Irene is pretty durable we don’t expect to get ran through like this line would suggest.
Marc-Andre Barriault ML (-135): Eyrk Anders is a total dog and someone we’ve been watching for a really long time at this point, but i think this is a super tough matchup for him. we expect it to go longer and as long as Barriault can hang past the dangerous first round, we think this fight will be his on the scorecards using grappling and distance management. i trust he will out on a masterclass for a crowd of Canadians all backing him.
