The French Open, also known as Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May each year. The tournament and venue are named after the French aviator Roland Garros.

Main Picks:

Alcaraz vs Djokovic – Over38.5 Games @5/6

So for the first time in many years Djokovic is not favourite against a player who is not one of the top 3, although Alcaraz in world No 1, that said its Novak Djokovic so our heads are saying go with the over its the safe bet but our hearts say Djokovic ML @7/4 is huge and surely worth a punt.

The matchup between Djokovic and Alcaraz has everything any observer could want on the Roland Garros clay. Djokovic is making his 45th career appearance in a Grand Slam semifinal and looking for his 23rd Grand Slam title. He breezed by Juan Pablo Varillas in straight sets in the quarterfinal, facing only three break points, and Djokovic defeated Karen Khachanov in four sets on Tuesday to reach this point. He has only dropped one set in the tournament, losing the opener to Khachanov before winning three straight, and Djokovic’s form is impressive alongside his immeasurable experience and pedigree.

Alcaraz is the No. 1 player in the world and No. 1 seed coming off a 2022 U.S. Open win. He is the youngest semifinalist at Roland Garros since 2007, and has appeared virtually unbeatable in the tournament. He is 25-2 on clay this season after thrashing No. 5 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinal, and Alcaraz is also 1-0 all-time against Djokovic.

Ruud vs Zverev – Over 39.5 Games @5/6

Another close to call semi where the over is the safest option, if we was picking a winner Ruud @1/1 would be it but we also see 5 sets so should be a battle.

Ruud is now 21-11 on the season, including 16-5 on clay, and 18-5 at the claycourt Major, where he has won 11 of his last 12 matches.

Meanwhile, World No. 27 Zverev saw off Grand Slam quarterfinal debutant Tomas Martin Etcheverry to reach his third straight Roland Garros semifinal. In a tasty tussle between two heavy hitters, Zverev took the opener before Etcheverry levelled proceedings in the second.
