Arizona Diamondbacks ML @5/6 vs. Philadelphia Phillies
This is another simple logic play, we don’t think the odds make sense, and when that happens let’s trust our belief. Zac Gallen the DBacks starter tomorrow is finally starting to get some national attention that’s been overdue. He’s a bonefide ace and his basic stats prove it since the beginning of last season. Plenty of sample size to trust that at this point. His competitor on the bump, Ranger Suarez is usually a trustworthy southpaw but he’s given up 7 runs in 6IP this year. He may not be right. While if you look on paper one might think there is a bit of a disparity in lineup talent the Diamondbacks have a stout lineup. Gallen is the kind of pitcher who don’t care who he’s going up against, lets take him.
Pirates ML @1/1 vs Texas Rangers
We see the Pirates facing a lefty starter, we throw my chips on Pittsburgh. They obliterate southpaws, and we’ll likely be throwing some money at -1.5 as well. We like the line especially at plus odds.
STL Cardinals vs CIN Reds – Over 10.5 total runs @20/21
Both games in this series have been over this number with better pitchers on the mound than the ones appearing tonight. Cardinals are red hot still with the bats averaging 7.7 runs a game in the last 10 played. Reds are the Reds, but at least they are averaging over 4 runs a game in the last 10 played. The Reds should get some help to liven up the bats because Matz is pitching for the Cardinals. Matz allows a lot of traffic with an 5.05 ERA and 1.62 WHIP. He hasn’t gotten to the 6th inning this year so the bullpen should come into play early in the game. Ben Lively is starting for the Reds, he has decent stats so far when he has pitched this year. Problem is he has only pitched 11 innings this year with one game started, not a big sample size. This is also his first year back in the MLB since 2019, where he pitched 1 inning with the Royals. He has also pitched in 2018 (30.1 IP, 5 GS), 2017 (88.2, 15 GS) with a career ERA of 4.60. Basically he is not a quality pitcher. So the combination of the red hot Cards and two high ERA pitchers make me believe this will be a high scoring game.
