Messi Past it or Prime?
G.O.A.T
Lionel Andrés Messi, also known as Leo Messi, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the Argentina national team. At 35 and turning 36 in June what will his next (or last) move be.
Messi could be past his prime but his star power is still extremely high. His just spent 2 days in Saudi Arabia. There’s a feeling he could be leaning towards a generational wealth oil contract to end his career in a league where his talent will still shine.
But here is our more realistic opinion.
Fav has to be Barca. If you’re betting against that, you’re thinking they don’t have the money (they don’t) and they won’t be able to Barca their way into a deal. We think it’s likely that Barca’s shady practices find a way to compensate him that he’s happy with.
The argument for Saudi is money, money and also money. If you think that’s all that motivates Messi, then this should be a no brainer… Then again, Messi might look at Ronaldo and the reputational damage that’s come with his move to Saudi and decide it’s not a good play.
Our Pick is Miami yes the competitive level is lower and they cant afford his wage requirements. Well, considering PSG’s level of play, this might not be as much an impediment as something. As for money, word on the street is Miami have an offer the table that includes an ownership stake. That coupled with the lifestyle and quality of life that Miami could provide could make the offer worth considering. At 10/1, this seems like a good value bet.
Or could he be tempted by a season in England, money a part were sure there would be a host of Premier League clubs interested.
