We are here to bet on the biggest match of the year in the Premier League as 2nd place Man City host league leaders Arsenal. Man City is on an absolute tear right now as they tend to do at the end of a season, throttling the likes of Newcastle, RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool in the last month at home with a combined scoreline of 16-1 against these elite opponents. They have also beaten Arsenal 11 straight Premier League matches dating all the way back to 2017, and haven’t lost against Arsenal in the PL since 2015.
On the other side is Arsenal, who have led basically all season but no longer control their own destiny (Unless they win here) as they’re up 5 points but have played two more matches than Man City. They’ve drawn 3 straight matches and ever since losing star centre back William Saliba have been a much weaker side especially defensively. He won’t be playing today and even if he was we think Man City are just too good especially at home.
We believe this is the year Man City finally wins the treble and this will be another step towards that achievement. Were old romantics and would love an Arsenal win but were also realistic.

Given how crucial Saliba is to Arsenal’s defensive and offensive style, his absence means that things could get ugly for the Gunners on Wednesday night, and fast.
The return of Xhaka will at least mean that Arsenal’s midfield should not get bypassed in the manner that it did against Southampton, but a Man City side who just cannot stop scoring – or winning – at home should stroll to a comfortable victory to take a giant step towards dethroning their capital counterparts.
