Texas Rangers -1.5 @10/11 vs Athletics
Usually we start these off by talking about how horse water the A’s are, but this time we actually want to start off by highlighting how great the Rangers have been. They have started off 12-6, leading the AL West, and they are on track to have a much more heavily improved season than the last two. Over the past two seasons, they have acquired incredible talent, such as a revamped pitching lineup with the likes of Jacob DeGrom, Andrew Heaney, and Martin Perez, and star shortstop Corey Seager. Last year their record was 68-94, but let’s believe they played much better than their record indicated. This year, they are ready to make some noise and let the statistics speak for themselves. They are 11th in batting average, 2nd in runs scored, 7th in opponent batting average, and 6th in WHIP. They also boast the 4th best bullpen ERA in the league.
Nationals vs Twins ML @10/29
The Twins have Pablo Lopez on the mound who has been great so far this year. Chad Kuhl will be pitching for the Nats who has been terrible this year. Kuhl has given up atleast 4 runs in each of his starts so far this year. We expect him to give up at least 3 while we’d be shocked if the Nats put up more than 1 in the first 5 against Lopez. We really like the play.
Blue Jays vs Yankees -1.5 @27/20
Were really liking the Yankees to win the first 5 innings against the Blue Jays on Saturday. Both their aces take the mound but it’s been very different starts to the season. Alex Manoah starts for the Blue Jays and he has been absolutely lit up by batters this season with a decrease in velocity. While we don’t think he’ll be this awful for the rest of the season he does not look close to figuring it out with a 0.421 xwOBA (21st worst). His opposite number Gerrit Cole is having a great start to the season and has only allowed 3 earned runs in 28 innings.
New York Mets ML @21/20 vs San Francisco Giants
Not much to say here tbh the Mets offense right now is red hot and they have scored over 3 runs in their last 6 games. Logan Webb is pitching for the Giants tomorrow and were not very high on him. He has given up 4 runs in 3 out of 4 of his starts already this year and he gave up 2/3 runs to the Mets last year in two starts. As long as the Mets can pick up 2 to 3 runs against Webb we are confident they can get the final runs across through a poverty Giants bullpen. We do think the Giants will have some fight in them tomorrow so hopefully that will drive the Mets to go for more runs.
