So popular or not this is how we see it, Ryan’s hardest test on the technical side was Luke Campbell and before stopping Campbell, was losing a lot of the rounds (despite what DAZN was saying broadcast wise) and got dropped by what? Leaving his hands low when the feint jab and overhand left came. Then leaves boxing because his head wasn’t in it, goes 12 with Tagoe who was ranked god knows what in the world , and Tagoe was landing against Ryan’s fluky defense. Against Fortuna which admitted was Ryan’s best performance, because he showed some grit, and looked pretty dominant, was still getting caught.
Honestly we don’t think Ryan can beat a prime Jose Pedraza, Isaac Cruz or Mario Barrios. Barrios recently went up and went 12 with Thurman, imagine what would happen to Ryan vs a Keith Thurman. That’s also why the Cruz fight fell through, why risk Ryan with a low pay day when you can get a tank fight, and regardless of outcome, a way higher payday.
We see this as a harsh mismatch where Ryan can possibly get Amir Khan’d , Pacquiao’d when he faced Marquez, or even recently Fundora getting stopped viciously.
