The NHL action comes thick and fast throughout the regular season with each team playing 82 games, totalling 1,271 total regular-season games. We at Degen bring the best picks from the almost daily action.

Our Picks: – Small Slate

Dallas Stars ML @20/33 vs St Louis Blues

The Dallas Stars will be visiting the St Louis Blues for their second match of the season with the first going 4-1 to Dallas. Dallas is still fighting for the 1st seed in the Central Division and will really need this win if they want to have a chance of passing the Avalanche for first. Even if the Avs get a win tonight and significantly reduce the Stars chance of getting 1st, they should still be motivated to get the W to maintain the 2nd seed in the Central and claim home ice for the first series of the playoffs. We think they will continue to stay motivated by the playoff seeding and should take care of the Blues handily. There is good value on the -1.5 @ 1/1

The Stars are expected to start Oettinger in net for this game and he has been solid this season with a 0.918 SV% and allowing only 2.41 goals per game. The Blues are expected to start Binnington in this game and he has not had a great season (0.892 SV%, 3.35 GAA) but has improved slightly over his last 5 games. We really don’t see Binnington being the difference maker here but every now and then he will put up a good outing.

San Jose Sharks vs. Calgary Flames – Over 6.5 @10/13

The Calgary Flames will be hosting the San Jose Sharks for their 4th and final game of the season against each other! The previous 3 contests have all hit the over and we foresee this trend continuing here. We expect a sloppy game as these teams are not playing for anything, but expect the Flames to be extremely frustrated (due to their disastrous last game) and play an emotional game here. Not the prettiest opening line but we love this spot!

Islanders ML @10/37 vs Canadiens

The islanders puck line is very scary since they only need to make it to OT to clinch the playoffs, rendering them less likely to cover the -1.5 from my understanding. Of course there’s also a chance that they blow out Montreal. This basically is why were betting the ML, playing it safe.
