Cristian Javier gets the start for the Astros, and last year he was very impressive towards the end of the season. In his last 8 starts (including playoffs), he pitched 41 innings, only gave up 2 earned runs and 12 total hits – crazy numbers. He goes up against Lance Lynn, who regressed after a pretty good 2021 season.
Lynn did not face the Astros last year, but he did start against them twice in 2021 and twice in 2020. In those 4 starts, he gave up 6, 9, 6, and 5 runs. The Astros seem to do well against him, and while Jose Altuve is out, they still have a deep high power offense.
