The Canadiens will be visiting Buffalo for their third match of the season with the first two going 7-2 and 3-2. Both of these teams have been hitting the over frequently lately with the Canadiens clearing O6.5 in 7 of their last 10 and the Sabres clearing O6.5 in 7 of their last 10 games as well. The Canadiens have really picked things up on offense lately, averaging 3.8 goals per game vs their season average of 2.74 goals per game. We don’t think that a Sabres team that is allowing 4.6 goals per game in their last 10 and 3.6 goals per game on average this season is the team to slow down the Canadiens. At the same time the Canadiens are allowing an average of 4.5 goals per game and the Sabres are typically a strong offensive team averaging 3.6 goals per game this season. The Sabres have not been quite as strong offensively lately, but a game against the Canadiens seems to be a good opportunity to find some goals.
