VIVA Blackpool
Televised Darts comes to Viva Blackpool in 2023 as we crown the ‘Champion of Champions!’ As part of the UK tour, the Jenningsbet World Seniors Darts Tournament brings the big names to Blackpool – including Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, Martin Adams, Robert Thornton, Trina Gulliver.
Dates: Sat 25th – Sun 26th March 2023.
Taking place in Blackpool at VIVA!, the draw has been completed and will see a rematch of the World final between Robert Thornton and Howson, while the Golden Ticket Qualifier winner Lenard Gates will get the ultimate opportunity in facing Phil Taylor.
We will pick our 4 winners from day 1 and then Sunday post our Semi finals and final picks. If your able to get outright betting were going with Phil ‘the power’ Taylor taking the title, although he’s not favourite which may surprise some.
Our Picks – Day 1:
Robert Thornton vs Richie Howson @10/11
This is probably the closest match of the day and were going with slight outsider Howson just to edge it.
David Cameron vs Kevin Painter @8/11
Painter is arguably most famous for finishing as the runner-up to Phil Taylor in the 2004 PDC World Championship final, how he would love to get a chance to right that this weekend.
Phil Taylor @1/1 vs Lenard Gates
Phil Taylor will be the player every opponent will want to beat but who the crowd will want to see. Taylor is probably the most decorated player of all time and will look to add another championship here.
Martin Adams @1/10 vs Trina Gulliver
We don’t see Trina fairing well here and even though we love an underdog this just sits too one sided.
