The first game was lost on a bad night for Fleury in net and an empty net goal booking the 2 goal win for Calgary. We’ve got two teams trending in different directions here. The Wild have been hot going 7-2-1 in their last 10 while Calgary has struggled recently going 3-4-3 in their last 10. The Wild have been excellent on defense and have a top 10 goaltender in Gustavsson. Gusstavson has been lights out allowing 2.06 goals per game this season with a 0.930 SV%. Not overly concerned about either goalie for the Wild, but we do expect Gusstavson to start and I think he will help the Wild’s chances.
Colorado Avalanche ML @10/11 vs Dallas Stars
Expected starter for the Stars is Jake Oettinger. He is 4th in both GAA (2.29) and SV% (.923) Has an argument for best goalie in the NHL. Expected starter for the Avalanche is Alexander Georgiev. Elite goalie, 12th in GAA (2.57) and 5th in SV% (.922) Slight edge to Dallas in net, but not by much.
Crucial game for both teams, whoever wins will see their chances at winning the Central and possibly the West greatly improve. Stars are good at home with the 8th best home record. Avs have the 10th best road record.
