The Bahrain Grand Prix, officially known as the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for sponsorship reasons, is a Formula One motor racing event in Bahrain. The first race took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on 4 April 2004.

Formula 1 is finally back for the 2023 season starting in Bahrain! Reigning champion Max Verstappen sets out to win his third championship in a row after a record-breaking 15 wins last season in the mighty Red Bull.
Last week in pre-season testing, the RB19 car showed its superiority with not only the fastest times, but the most consistent lap times while being gentle on tire degradation. During the two practice sessions on Friday, the 2 Red Bull drivers were in the top 3 quickest laps, had the fastest top speed, and spent the most time at full throttle on the Bahrain circuit. In the hands of Verstappen, anything less than pole position would be a failure.
