The NHL action comes thick and fast throughout the regular season with each team playing 82 games, totalling 1,271 total regular-season games. We at Degen bring the best picks from the almost daily action.

Our Picks: –

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 @10/13 vs St Louis Blues

We get pretty unlucky on this one, Hellebuyck gets a B2B start for the first time this season and he steals the game. We get a 4-1 result with the Jets netting 21 SOG and the Rangers netting 51 SOG. Moneypuck has the deserve to win-o-meter at 79% for the Rangers, yet they lose by three goals. Brutal, but that’s how hockey is sometimes.

The St Louis Blues will be visiting the Carolina Hurricanes for their second match of the season with the Canes winning the first match 6-4. The Canes have covered -1.5 in 3 of their last 5 games against the Blues. The Blues have not looked good since they traded away their Captain O’Reilly, losing to the Avalanche 4-1, and the Senators 7-2. The Blues will be without Saad who has been a productive offensive player for them, booking 15 goals this season.

New Jersey Devils -1.5 @20/27 vs Canadiens

New Jersey has won their last two games by at least 2 goals. Montreal has been outscored by a total of 11-3 in their last two games & is the 3rd worst away team in the league. Vitek Vanecek, the Devils goalie, has been a brick wall this year & has greatly contributed to New Jersey’s success. He is listed as the expected goalie in net & boast a record of 24-5-3 with a .917 save percentage. The Devils will roll offensively & take care of business at home. Final score prediction 5-2 devils.

Vancouver Canucks vs Nashville Predators – Over 6.5 @5/6

A lot of the stats in this one but they are just numbers and stuff. We think if we typed it all out it would just look ugly and messy so lets sum it up in a few words. Canucks are scoring more and allowing more goals in their last 10 then their season average, Predators score more at home than their season average.

LA Kings ML @11/10 vs Wild

The Minnesota Wild will be hosting the LA Kings for their 3rd and final match of the season. The Kings won both of the previous matchups 7-6 and 1-0. We really love the way the Kings have been playing lately and like the value we’re getting here with them as the underdog. The Kings will give the Wild a run for their money once again and we think the Kings should be favored in this spot.

Lightning ML @2/11 vs Ducks

The Lighting are a team that get off to a quick start in most of their games. The 1st period line is at -135 and we like the juice added from adding in the regulation line here. The Lightning have been shaky on the road, but have played very strong on home ice. They will be up against one of the worst teams in the league in the Ducks, who get blown out fairly often. We know we saw the Ducks go up early today against the Panthers, but that is an anomaly for them. Really like for Tampa to take it to the Ducks here.

Sabres vs Leafs – Over 6.5 @20/27

The Sabres and Leafs last three games all ended 5-2 with Buffalo winning twice and Toronto winning once. The Leafs and Sabres have both been teams that are no stanger to the games going over 6.5 goals. In their last 10 the Sabres have cleared this line of 5 of their last 10 games (Stars, Jets, and Wild were 3 of the unders here) and the Leafs have covered this line is 6 of their last 10 games. We think this game is bound for some goals and should be a fun one to watch.
