Stanley Cup Tips
The NHL action comes thick and fast throughout the regular season with each team playing 82 games, totalling 1,271 total regular-season games. We at Degen bring the best picks from the almost daily action.
Our Picks: –
Edmonton Oilers -1.5 @10/11 vs Canadiens
We’ve got another early game with the Edmonton Oilers visiting the Montreal Canadiens for their second match of the year. The Oilers won the first meeting 5-3. The Oilers have played well on B2B games this year winning 4 of their last 6 and they have been fairly dominant in Montreal winning in the last three times when they have visited.
The Oilers need to keep the pace up and secure points to stay in the playoff race while the Canadiens don’t have much to play for. Jake Allen will be in net for Montreal and he has not played particularly well this season booking a .891 SV% and allowing 3.58 goal per game on average. Jack Cambell will be in the opposing net and he has not had a great season either booking a .889 SV% and allowing an average of 3.28 goals per game. We like Edmonton to control the game here though and be the team getting more shots on net and pulling away with a 2+ goal win. This is only a 1u bet because the Oilers can be a bit inconsistent, but when they are clicking they can really put up some goals.
Kraken ML @20/29 vs Flyers
The Kraken have been on a rough stretch but this will be a good spot for them to turn things around. The Kraken have played well on the road this year, and even though they have dropped a couple games recently we think this trend could still continue.
They will be up against a Flyers team who are on a B2B losing in OT to the Preds. We like this spot here for the Kraken with Sandstrom in net for the Flyers as he has not played well, allowing an average of 3.45 goals per game and booking a 0.885SV% on the season. The Kraken will have an easier time getting the puck in the back of the net with Sandstrom in net.
Other Picks:
Capitals ML @25/48 vs Sharks
Golden Knights ML @5/18 vs Ducks
