Stanley Cup Tips
The NHL action comes thick and fast throughout the regular season with each team playing 82 games, totalling 1,271 total regular-season games. We at Degen bring the best picks from the almost daily action.
Our Picks: –
Edmonton Oilers ML @20/29 vs Ottawa Senators
Today there’s 14 games in the NHL and were just picking our favourite bets, lots of early action. Really liking the Oilers in this spot. It’s the 3rd game of a 4 game road trip and the first of b2b games. Oilers are coming of a shootout loss to the Flyers on Thursday. They didn’t look to sharp offensively. This will be the Senators first game since January 31st. They won 4 straight heading into the all star break.
Vancouver Canucks vs Detroit Red Wings – Over 6.5 @20/23
The Canucks offense has not slowed down without Bo Horvat and their defense continues to allow plenty of goals. The Red Wings are coming off a win against the Oilers and will need a win here to keep their playoff hopes alive. We see this as a back and forth game with a decent number of goals. The Red Wings to pull through with a win for us, but for the Canucks to put up a fight and book at least a few goals. The Canucks have hit O6.5 in 8 of their last 10 games, while the Wings have hit O6.5 in 5 of their last 10. We’ve got Husso confirmed in net for the Red Wings, Husso is an average goalie but has had some decent games recently. This season Husso is allowing 2.97 GAA and has a 0.902 SV% this season. On the other side of the ice we will likely see Delia in net who is allowing 3.18 GAA and 0.890 SV%. Delia is also an average to below average goalie and expect the Red Wings to find the back of the net against him, especially with the lax style of defense the Canucks play.
NY Rangers at Carolina Hurricanes – Over 6.0 goal @1/1
Vladimir Tarasenko had a splash start at NY, scoring a goal in his Rangers debut. Today, he goes up against the Hurricanes, a team both the Rangers and Tarasenko personally have had reasonable success against. NY has scored at least 2 goals in all 5 games within past 2 seasons, including a fiver just a month ago. And Tarsenko has 3 points in 3 games dating back to last year.
Boston Bruins ML @25/48 vs Capitals
Right now the expected goalies are Kuemper and Ullmark. The Bs net minder is boasting an incredible 26-4-1 record, while Kuemper is just above .500. As much as it pains me to say it the bruins are the best show on ice right now. They are well structured from top to bottom and we will be backing them at home on the money line for this Saturday matinee.
Coyotes vs Blues ML @4/7
Blues defense and Binnington have been playing. The problem is that they will be up against a Coyotes team on a B2B who are not that hot of a scoring team. The Blues have had some offensive struggles and we don’t see that getting better without Tarasenko. Arizona will be starting Vejmelka in net and he has been one of the better players on the AZ team, booking a 0.908 SV% and 3.18 GAA. we expect Binnington on the opposite side of the ice. Beside getting involved in scrums where he’s protected, you might find him trying to save a goal here or there. Luckily for Binnington, the Coyotes are not a very strong offensive team so this one should remain low scoring.
Devils ML @1/1 vs Wild
The Wild have just looked awful lately and the Devils are a great road team this year. The Devils looked decent without Hughes and we expect them to continue the road magic against this Wild team. Really like the value here on the Devils @1/1. Lets expected this line to be closer to 10/11 for the Devils.
