Football Playoffs

After a wicked and wild season, the NFL playoffs are finally here and if you like rematches, then you’re definitely going to love what the NFL has in store for Super Wild Card Weekend beginning on Saturday.

Last season, the higher seed finished 5-1. In 2020, the higher seed was 2-4. This year, the NFL is rolling with a three-day format that will set up the divisional round.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs LA Chargers, 1.15am GMT

Picks:

Chargers -2.5 @10/11

Over 47.5 Points @10/11

With multiple big spread games, this looks to be one of the best Wild Card games of the week.

Two young QB’s surrounded by droves of talent. Justin Herbert has the most passing yards, TD passes, and completions by a QB of all time in his first 3 seasons. He ended this season with the 2nd highest number of yards (4,739) and is 3rd in terms of completion percentage (68.2). He’s up against Trevor Lawrence that excels at home, leading the Jags to 29.33 points per game. He’s up against a Chargers defense that have the #1 highest early down blitz rate over the second half of the season, but they are recording pressure at a below average rate.

The Jaguars demolished LAC 38-10 in LA. This game is in Jacksonville and those fans have been waiting to host a home playoff game. Chargers Stahley lost to Raiders last year to get into playoffs. Lawrence, like we said Purdy and Goff have been the best QB’s in NFL especially second half of the season. Doug Pederson has the locker room behind him after Jax debacle with Urban Meyer. Chargers locker room maybe happy to see Stahley fired, if they lose, and were not sure the locker room and ownership was thrilled with playing starters in meaningless game last week.
