So what are we thinking? Goals two high scoring fast place playing offenses will have this game in the 3-3 range maybe an empty netter will be needed but both these teams are playing really well so we are expecting an easy over here.
Golden Knights ML @20/21 vs Panthers
Vegas has been a great team all year, with a weak home record of just 12-10, and have a whopping 15-3-2 away record. We expect this to balance itself at least a bit more for the second half of the season. It’d be a bit surprising for a top 5-10 team to have 3-4 more wins then losses at home, over the course of a whole season. Vegas have won 4 of the last 5 games against the Panthers, going back to 2019.
Florida has been struggling. Although they beat Colorado their last game, they gave up a 3 goal lead before sneaking out a win with a PP late against the Av’s. There’s no reason to suggest they are gonna suddenly get better then a 500% hockey club for now at least. They have just a 1 game win streak, and are 4-6-0 in their L10. They are also 9-13-1 on the road this year.
Tampa Bay Lighting -1.5 @20/21 vs Vancouver Canucks
We are feeling confident that Tampa can win this game and likely by more than 1 goal. Tampa has been tough to beat on home ice winning 8 of their last 10. Tampa has beat Vancouver in 7 out their last 10, covering the PL 3 of the last 4 times Vancouver has come to Tampa. Vancouver has struggled on their current road trip.. Tampa is an all around solid hockey team with a solid offense, defense, and a great goaltender. Tampa averages scoring 3.5 goals/game and allows an average of 2.9 goals per game. Vancouver has a dynamic offense but really struggles on defense, allowing 3.9 goals per game (worst in the league). When Vancouver loses a game, they tend to lose by more than one goal while Tampa tends to win by more than one goal when they win.
Carolina Hurricanes ML @10/33 vs Blue Jackets
Both of these teams are coming off of losses from Monday night, We expect Carolina to come out swinging tonight to keep their position at the top of their division against a team with many of their key players on injury reserve sitting at the bottom of the league and division.
