Philly will be playing them on a back to back, while Sabres are on a days rest after beating the Wild at home on Saturday night. Counted 4 back to backs in Flyers schedule YTD and they are a wonderful 0-4 in those games. Not likely to pick up their first B2B win here against a Sabres team in some of the best form of their season. Winning 3 of their last 4 including the mammoth feat of defeating the Boston Bruins at home.
The history of this match-up as is usually the case with my picks is extremely one-sided. In the last 5 matches, Sabres are 5-0 against the Flyers and all in Regulation. We are getting a great price here. Tag Thompson, the star of the Sabres, has also been lights out with a hat trick against the Capitals and a goal against the Wild in his last two. We mention this because against the Flyers last season he scored 2 and 1 goal respectively, and he’ll be in for at least one tomorrow night.
