Our Picks:

Utah Jazz vs San Antonio Spurs, Player Prop – Jeremy Sochan over 2.5 assists @4/6

Sochan, a rook who was chosen we believe 9th in the draft this year has put together some good performances as of late. He has covered this number 7 of the last 8 games. His assist opportunity numbers in that span has been healthy, especially in the last 4 where he has been averaging 9. We’ve been repeating it a lot but a 50% or so conversion rate on assist opps is about the norm, he has been getting 9 per game, if he can get even 6 or 7, this should be a cover. This is a little risky because Pop’s coaching can be unpredictable with the youngsters, if Sochan does a random thing he doesn’t like, his ass could get glued to the bench.

Nets vs Cavaliers – Ben Simmons o5.5 assist @1/1

BKN has been a nice run. This run you can state started with Ben Simmons playing well since the Kings game. Stats since Nov 15, 10.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 6.2 assist in 14 games. JV has started most offensive plays with Ben on the ball bringing up duties. This provides that first chance of assist for us.

Pacers ML @6/5 vs Pelicans

The Pacers have won their previous two games. After beating the Boston Celtics (arguably the best team in the league) 117-112 as 9.5-point underdogs, the Pacers pulled off another upset this past Friday, outlasting the Miami Heat 111-108 as 6-point underdogs. The Pacers went 21-for-47 from deep against the Heat. They make 14.9 triples per game (tied-3rd in the NBA) on a 37.0 percentage clip (9th). Indiana scores 113.0 points per 100 possessions (tied-15th) and surrenders 113.6 in a return (18th). The Pacers love to pick up the pace, recording 101.4 possessions per 48 minutes (6th). Zion Williamson is the Pelicans leading scorer and a huge part of New Orleans defense, so his absence is a massive blow. The Pacers are healthy and Tyrese Haliburton has been outstanding as of late.

Portland Trailblazers -5 @10/11 vs Charlotte Hornets

Today, we’re gonna target a good bounce back spot for the Blazers against a Hornets team that objectively looks terrible. To put it simple, this team will be tanking for either Scoot or Victor within the next month. They’re 15 games under .500 and it’s not even January. This team is flat out not talented enough to even make the play in, the Hornets know it, the front office knows it, and the league knows it. The Hornets are 2-3 in their last 5, with wins over the Kings and Lakers during this most recent road trip. Tonight, they’ll face a Blazers team that we would argue has 4 of the top 5 best players of both teams. Since the 2019 season, Dame has averaged 26/4/8 on 47/40/77 splits against the Hornets, and we don’t really expect their 27th ranked defense to pick it up now during a random game against the Blazers in December.

Clippers @ Detroit Pistons – Over 223.0 @10/11

The Clippers travel to the midwest to receive the Christmas gift that keeps on giving, the Detroit Pistons. Both teams will be without their undisputed stars in Kawhi Leonard (rest) and Cade Cunningham (out for season), but the more notable of which is the former NBA Champion and undeniable superstar that is Kawhi. He’s sat out a remarkable number of games over the past few seasons, but there are signs that he’s getting up to full speed and if he does the Clippers are not to be trifled with. Kawhi has played in 6 of the Clippers’ last 7 games, leading his team to a 5-1 record in that span bringing the Clippers record with Kawhi to 10-3, while without him a mere 9-12.
