Redzone Football is Why We Love Sundays
Touchdown
Week 7, and we are saying it again was wild and wacky as the NFL 2022 season continues, the is one big question on every ones lips… Are the Packers done in 2022?
The Packers are on a three-game slide in which they are averaging 17.7 yards per game. Aaron Rodgers ranks 26th in the NFL in QBR (40.5), and Green Bay faces the league’s top defense at Buffalo on Sunday Night Football.
Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season also had a couple considerable upsets, but otherwise, good teams played up to the potential and bad teams continued to fade. In theory, after a strong week of picks and predictions against the spread, Week 8 sets up for continued fine results.
Week 8 Sunday Picks:
Falcons ML @10/21 vs Panthers
The Falcons have won seven of the last 10 meetings, but the Panthers have won two of the last three in Atlanta. The Panthers showed some life after cleaning the house, and P.J. Walker can have some success against the Falcons. Beware of the underdog here. It’s going to be tight.
Cowboys vs Bears – Over 42.5 Points @10/11
The Bears have allowed 23 sacks and they are facing the Cowboys relentless pass rush led by Micah Parsons, and that means trouble for Justin Fields. Dak Prescott was efficient in his return in Week 7, and the Cowboys improve to 3-0 ATS as a home favourite this season.
Lions vs Dolphins -3.5 @10/11
This has a trap-game feel to it for the Dolphins considering all three of the Lions’ home matches have hit the over and this is Tua Tagovailoa’s first road start since returning from a concussion. Detroit remains the worst statistical defence in the league (412.2 yards per game). Detroit allows 6.4 yards per play, and that’s not going to cut it against playmakers such as Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Raheem Mostert.
Vikings vs Cardinals – Over 48.5 Points @10/11
The Vikings are coming off a bye week so well rested, and they are building a cushion in the weak NFC North with each victory. Both teams have bad pass defences, which should give Kyler Murray more than enough down-field chances with DeAndre Hopkins to make this interesting. We’re still sticking with the home team. Kirk Cousins clinches this one with a late connection to Justin Jefferson. But our pick is the over as feels much the safer option.
NY Jets vs NE Patriots ML @5/7
Breece Hall’s season-ending injury changes the tenor of the Jets’ offense around Zach Wilson. It’s on Michael Carter to keep that going against the Patriots, who have mastered the bend-but-don’t-break routine. The Patriots have a quarterback question with Bailey Zappe and Mac Jones, and they better stop the run this time unlike the Monday Night Football loss to the Bears.
Commanders ML @13/10 vs Colts
The Colts benched Matt Ryan for Sam Ehlinger, which we didn’t have on the bingo card before the season started. Washington played with confidence on both sides with Taylor Heinicke, who had a good connection with Terry McLaurin after the first-half pick six. This line could inch closer to a pick, but we like the Commanders to pick up a third straight victory with these huge odds.
Seahawks vs Giants – Over 44.5 Points @10/11
Two surprise teams meet in the late window. Both teams struggle against the run, so this could be a fun game for Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Walker III. They’re both going to put up numbers. The Giants have played seven straight games decided by eight points or less. How long can Brian Daboll keep it going?
Bills -11.0 @10/11 vs Packers
The Bills have the best defence in the NFL (281.5). The line is another matter. Look for Green Bay to score in the first quarter and Rodgers comes out hot, but the Bills make the right adjustments after halftime. Buffalo allows just 2.8 points per game in the second half. This is an all-too familiar theme for the Packers, who lose a fourth straight game. Or going back to our opening question do that start to build a season.
*We was asked why we don’t cover all games, and the simple reason is if were not confident we wont pick it. Obviously gambling is not a guaranteed way of making money so we try and pick games we do think are going to win, Good Look All!
