Penguins ML @8/13 vs Canucks
The 4-2-1 Penguins travel to the 1-5-1 Canucks for the fourth game of their western road trip. They’ve lost the last two games in pretty much embarrassing fashion (to two teams at the top in the West) so we really like them to bounce back here as they are still one of the best teams in the league. Their last loss came with their backup goalie in net so they should be going with starting goalie Jarry who has been great this year with a 4-1 record and a .923 save %. The Canucks won their first game tonight and will be playing on back to back days with travel, and likely with their backup goalie Martin who is 0-1 this year.
Blue Jackets vs Boston Bruins ML @4/6
This is another case of riding a solid team with a hot goalie. Ullmark is looking to make it 6-0 to start the season and the beat up CBJ team we don’t think will stand in the way for the Bruins to help make that happen.
Colorado Avalanche 3 way ML @11/10 vs Devils
Avalanche are playing spectacular hockey with a recent OT win over the Rangers. No clue why the line is plus money as the Avalanche take on a 4-3 Devils team who have won against some very mid teams (Ducks, Sharks, Islanders, Red Wings) but have yet to play the juggernaut of the defending champs. With Georgiev in net and The likes of Makar, Mackinnon, Nichushkin, Rantanen playing insane hockey expect the Avalanche to get the job done in regulation and to overwhelm this devils team.
Vegas -1.5 @10/11 vs Ducks
Wish it was plus or even money but there’s a reason it isn’t. Vegas has arguably the best defense in the league and doesn’t have trouble scoring. The ducks defense and offense are both struggling and it would be extremely tough for them to turn it around both on the road and against this team.
