Our Picks:
Washington Capitals vs Dallas Stars ML @10/11
Stars played a very good game against a top team in the Bruins the other night. Now that is not to say the Capital aren’t a good team, but just feel like the way Ullmark was playing was the reason the Stars didn’t have more goals. Which brings me to Darcy Kuemper, he has been solid but we think he isn’t the best. Oettinger on the other hand has been playing out of his mind and no signs of stopping. So with this alone it wouldn’t make it my POTD especially for the 7-0 streak. Early betting splits have public all over Capitals and don’t see why especially with all we’ve watched of both teams. Might be a stiff match up but were confident and like the Stars value right now.
St. Louis Blues vs Nashville Predators ML @4/6
Nashville hasn’t played since Saturday so they’re well rested and St Louis is coming off a loss to the Oilers. We don’t have much more to say as we think the Predators are not a team playing at there best but are due a win.
Minnesota Wilds vs Ottawa Senators – Over 6.5 Goals @8/11
To start we will look at the wilds. They’ve been a goal scoring machine that really took off last year. This year their sporting a 2-3-1 record and have hit the over in 5 of 6 games this season. They themselves have scored 3 or more goals in every game so far, but even with that kind of production they can’t seem to steal a win and we will look into why. Their main struggle right now is goaltending and the defence isn’t helping so much. They are ranked the worst in the league with a -8.8 Goal Saved Above Expected (as of Oct 23rd). Fleury and Gustavsson have not been the tandem they were hoping for. These guys can’t save a beach ball. We’re likely to see Fleury in, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they go with Gustavsson simply cause he was traded from Ottawa in the offseason. Either way it bodes well for the over. Looking at the Sens, and god damn are the kids buzzing. They have won 4 straight games to start the season with a 4-2-0 record. They have scored 4 or more goals in their last 4 wins. Looking at the goaltending and we’re expecting Forsberg in net coming off a minor injury where he was side lined vs Dallas.
Other Picks:
Bruins ML @4/9
Kings ML @4/6
Kraken ML @4/5
Maple Leafs ML @4/9
